Keeping these coils on hand is important so that you can replace them as soon as you notice that your vape isn’t living up to its potential. Replacing the coil is easy - just remove the bottom hardware, unscrew the old coil, and screw in the new one. It is that quick and simple. 

The lifespan of your coils depends on a few key ingredients. The first is the acidity level of your e-liquids. The higher the acidity level, the quicker your coils will burn out. Fruit-flavored e-juices tend to be higher in acid than other flavors. Another factor is the VG or vegetable glycerin level of your e-juice. Liquids high in VG tend to be thicker and will wear on your coils more than those low in VG. The final factor is, of course, the frequency of which you vape. Frequent vapers, who vape multiple times throughout the day will likely need to replace their coils often, about every 5 to 7 days. Moderate vapers, who vape a couple of times each day can get roughly 14 days or so out of a coil. Finally, light or casual vapers will be able to get anywhere from 3 weeks or more out of a coil. 

These timeframes are just rough guidelines, sometimes you may need to replace a coil sooner if you start noticing signs of a burnt out coil. What are these signs? The first is a decrease in vapor production. This tends to be followed by a gurgling noise and e-juice leaking into your mouth when you inhale. A burnt taste is also a sign that the cotton in your coil is burnt and it is time to replace it. Finally, if you are getting no vapor production at all, it is definitely time to replace your coil with a new one. If you experience any of these signs, replace your coil immediately to get back to a top-notch cloud chasing experience.
